Perennial

I thought this week's Illustration Friday topic would herald my tentative return to pencil work nicely. Let's hope this 'acorn' of an idea will grow into a sturdy oak as I create more using pencil.

Incidentally, last night I finally got round to watching The Secret Of Kells, a beautiful Belgian-Irish animated film nominated for several awards. If you need some inspiration or just fancy a pretty little story, I urge you to take a look.

  4. What a beautiful little drawing! (Along with pinecones, acorns are one of my favorite objects in nature.) I'm not sure why I haven't happened upon your blog via Illustration Friday before now, but I'm glad I did...I've enjoyed looking through your work!
